At tax time, you will likely fall into one of the following 3 categories:
This is a dollar for dollar tax credit program
You can give the maximum you owe or have paid the state (your liability), up to the allowable amount.
To find your total liability, reference last year’s tax statement or consult your accountant.
The Original, and the Switcher
There are two tax credit funds, Original and Switcher. They both fund scholarships for children, and you can contribute to both in one easy transaction. You must fulfill the Original contribution before giving to the switcher fund. Any contribution over the Original limit is automatically designated Switcher.
When you file your taxes, file forms 323/348 and present your receipt.
Over 75% of students at Tucson Waldorf School receive scholarship assistance. We also fund scholarships for TWS graduates who continue their education at local private schools.
To support a particular student please note the student’s name and include a brief supporting statement. If no child is specified, your contribution will help to educate the students with the greatest financial need.
Gift of Giving
The gift of your tax dollars creates a legacy that lasts a lifetime. Spark a life-long love of learning by contributing your tax dollars to AWSF.
To contribute simply Write a check to AWSF, pay by credit card, or donate online at tucsonwaldorf.org/awsf. You may also set up monthly payments to give the maximum allowed. Any overpayment will be rolled over and can be applied to your tax bill for up to five years.
*A school tuition organization cannot award, restrict or reserve scholarships solely on the basis of donor recommendation. A taxpayer may not claim a tax credit if the taxpayer agrees to swap donations with another taxpayer to benefit either taxpayer’s own dependent.
